Hi there!

The problem could either be your operator gears or hinges. A good way to test it would be to remove the operator completely and try to open and close the window without it, by hand. If it still slips, then you need a new hinge. If it works fine, then it's the operator.

It looks like you have either our 39-253LB & 39-253RB or our 39-438B & 39-439B. The video below will help you choose the correct replacement.

If your hinge is the culprit, take a look at our 36-048 and compare your dimensions to ours to see how they match up. Just be sure to replace the top and bottom hinges at the same time.

In my first post dated 6/26 above I sent a picture of what I needed replaced. I was sent the wrong item. In the picture below I am holding what was sent to me. The crank is on the wrong side. I have not done this before so took a guess as to what I needed. I didn't realize what LB or RB stood for. It looks like I need an RB. Can I replace what you sent me with what I need without paying for a new one? I send back the one you sent me. I also need a cover for the Operator.

I see that you ordered the 39-253LB. If you're looking for the operator that's installed in the above picture, see our 39-253RB. For a handle and cover, see either the 39-376 or 39-452, depending on the style you prefer. You can also see our return policy here
