Balance assembly

Quick Learner
The plastic that holds the balance shoe has broken on both sides of the sash. I've sent pics of the info attached to the window. Do you have replacement parts?

Hello, thank you for posting,

Your window uses an older Simonton balance system that is no longer made. We recommend converting to the 15-259 pivot shoe, Series 159 coil springs and 26-083 pivot bar. Please review the step by step video below that details the conversion and parts needed. Let us know if you have any questions!

If you need assistance with choosing the correct weighted coil options, we will need to know the weight of the window sash to move forward.

The weight of the upper sash is 21 pounds. There is a double coil spring on the assemblies on this window so I will need the appropriate part numbers for all parts associated with this repair.

For a 21 pound sash, you can switch to using (1) S159-10 coil spring on each side along with the 15-255 support. You would connect this coil spring to the 15-259 pivot shoe and install the 26-083 pivot bar. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

SWISCO Thank you thank you thank you! We recieved the replacement parts for the conversion of our Simonton windows and they worked perfectly! Along with your video we had the parts replaced in about a half hour. You saved me the trouble of having to replace the whole window. Thanks again for all your help!
