Balance rod confirmation

A quick learner says:
Hello,

I'm replacing the balance rods in milgard style line windows. I'm pretty sure the balance should be S795-32c but mine has an indent at the bottom that yours doesn't.

I also want to replace the shoe which I think is 15-236. Can you please confirm before I order. Thank you

Thanks for posting. If the metal channel, not including the shoe, is 32" long, and if it is stamped 32C, then I agree, the S795-32 with a stamp option of 32C seems correct. Note however that there is no need to purchase the 15-236. This shoe in fact does not fit onto our replacement Series 795; it's meant for versions of this balance with a groove in the metal channel, like your old one has. Our replacement Series 795 comes with the 15-195 1-1/4" wide shoe attached, and so long as your old shoe is the same width I think this will work just fine for you.

One other note before proceeding: how does this balance attach to the top of the window jamb? Does it fasten with a screw, or does it use a hook? If it uses a screw, you should be good to go; but if it uses a hook like our 15-198, let me know, as this differs from our standard Series 795. Let me know if you have any other questions.
