Block & Tackle window balance replacement

A home owner from Charleston, SC says:
No evidence I could find that the original manufacturer is still in business, though I would guess the windows (original construction) are only about 15 years old. Multiple balances have broken (the plastic pulley cracked) and need replacing to make the windows functional.

The metal channel is stamped 32" and is 1/2" by 5/8".

The shoe is 1.25" wide.

The sash weighs about 23 lbs.

1. Is there further information needed to spec a replacement?
2. The series 795 balance seems the proper replacement. Is there additional hardware needed?

We can supply this balance for you, or at least a modern equivalent of it, but it's going to have to be a custom order. You see, the Series 795 is the correct part, but your balance has a hook at the end of the cord instead of a screw tab like ours. That hook option isn't stock, unfortunately.

Before we go any further, can you just tell me how many you need? Once I know that, I'll email you a purchase link and price quote for that you can use that to place an order on our site.

To summarize, we will be sending you an S795-32 channel balance, but with the top clip swapped out for a 15-198 hook. We'll also be using the 32C stamp, same as your original. I just need quantity to get started.

The pivot bar, meanwhile, looks like an older version of our 26-366. This is sold separately and will not be included with the custom purchase link, so don't forget to add it to your cart. This isn't an exact match though. You may need to drill new holes for our newer version to work in your window. If you can reuse your originals, I would do so. It will make your life a little easier.

Tom,

Thanks for your assistance.

I will need (10) replacement balances for my repairs.

Blessings,

Jim
