Broken parts on sides of windows

Quick Learner from Illinois
The spring covers and springs are in really bad shape on several of my windows. I'm looking to replace them as some of the plastic has deteriorated so badly that I can't open and close the windows.

Thanks for your patience during this busy season. We can definitely help with this, but I need a bit more information. Can you show me a clear picture of the pivot shoe to which the springs connect? Can you also tell me how thick the springs are? Thanks!

The springs seem to be about 1cm wide, if that's what you mean.

That's a little over 3/8". Can you confirm that that's accurate? Assuming your spring is 3/8", then I recommend the Series 165 coil spring and 15-205 triple coil cover, since it looks like you have three springs per side.

Yes, that's accurate. Thanks for the recommendation, I'll give those parts a try. Do I need to replace the pivot shoe as well while I'm at it? Or anything else?

Nah, it seems to be in good condition to me. If you wanted to anyway, though, then you can use our 15-199.
