CHANNEL BALANCE

A quick learner from West Linn, OREGON says:
I HAVE TWO DIFFERENT SIZE WINDOWS IN MY HOUSE. WHEN I MEASURE THE LENGHT OF ONLY THE METAL PART OF THE CHANNEL BALANCE, ONE MEASURES 26", AND ONE MEASURES 32". WHAT DO I NEED TO ORDER?

Do both sized-balances have the same metal channel length? If so, you need either the S380-26 or S385-26, or the S380-32 or S385-32. The only difference between these two balance Series is the depth of the bottom nylon shoe, or the 'heel-to-toe' measurement. See the image below for reference. You'll then have to choose a stamp option. For the 26" balances, choose 2540 in accordance with your old balance's stamp code of 25-4. For the 32" balances, look for the stamp code on the metal channel. If there is no stamp code or you're uncertain, obtain the exact weight of the window sash. You can then match that exact weight with one of the weight ranges listed alongside each stamp option on the shop page.
