Hello....

I need some help in selecting which channel balance to buy to replace a number of
"Unique 25 C 30" and "Unique 21 C 30" the shoe or end block appears to be the challenge (as shown in the picture).... the pivot shoe these connect to appears to be identical to your part number 15-105.

Your help and advise is much apricated!

Hello,

It sounds like the 62-105 hook shown in your photo attaches to the 15-105 pivot shoe. If so, we'll also need to know how the top of the balance attaches to the window jamb to determine the correct replacements. Thank you.

Hello, and thank you for your help!

The top of the balance attaches to the window jamb with a single screw (please see the attached pictures of this).

Addionally We need to two different lengths one is 26 inches long overall and the other is 22 inches overall.

Thanks for getting back to us. We don't carry your exact balances but we can custom-make the replacement for you using the S770 channel balances with the 62-105 hook attached. Note that the S770-26 balances would use 26C strength options to support a sash between 17-22 lbs. The smaller S770-22 balances will come with 22C options to support between 16-21 lbs. I would recommend weighing your sashes to confirm that they fall within the supported weight ranges. If so, we'll just need to know the number of balances you'll need for each length, with the minimum being two of each. Thank you!

Hello, and thank you again....

The larger one weights 16.5 lbs, and the smaller one 14.8 lbs (given they both so very close I think we would be okay.... would you agree?)

If yes, to start we would need four of each... plus three of the pivot shoes...

As (hopefully) a last question do you have a video of attaching the hook to the pivot shoe...
or a text note of doing this?

Regards,
Jim

If you're sure that the sash weights are accurate, then you would need 22B options for the S770-22 balances to support between 10-16 lbs and 26B options for the larger balances to support between 11-17 lbs. Just let us know if these are the options you'd like to go with.

We do not have a guide on attaching the pulley clip to the shoe but there is an opening on the side indicated in the image below where the hook would attach. The hook would be attached the same way as your original assembly.

Hello:

Perfect :-)

Please just let me know how to proceed with ordering these parts along with price.

Your help was and is very much apricated.

BTW... I do expect we will need a few more of each of these in the future, is there a way (when the time is right) to re-order more of the same?

Regards,
Jim

Great, we just sent over an order link and price quote for balances calibrated to support the sash weights you provided. If you need, to order more balances in the future, you can reply back to this thread directly. Also, keep in mind the the order link is just for the balances. If you need new pivot shoes as well, the 15-105 shoes can be added to your cart directly from our website. Take a look and let us know if you need anything else. Thank you!

Thank you for this.... I have ordered the parts.... :-)

However perhaps I wasn't clear around attaching the pulley clip to the shoe (the picture you sent is clear) I do understand where the clip attaches....

But am unsure how to pull it down to the shoe after the balance has been installed.... is there a tool for doing this? do I use a pair of pliers? or slide the shoe up to clip at the end of balance?

Again thank you.

Thank you for clarifying. The top of the balance is installed first and then you would use a tool like needle nose pliers to grip the 62-105 clip and attach it to the pivot shoe. The process is similar to the video below except that your balances use a different type of pulley clip.

Hello again:

Could you let me know which side (towards inside or outside) the brake shoe goes into to the pivot shoe? The 15 105 shoe gives use two options.

Thank you!

If you're referring to which side you would attach the 62-105 hook on the 15-105 shoe, either side will work.

Thank you...
I do understand where the hook 62-105 attaches to the shoe...
What I'm not sure of is which side of the shoe to insert the brake pad into (it could go into either side (facing towards the outside of the house or facing towards the inside of the house).
I have installed it towards the outside (please see pictures) and would like to be sure I've got it right before installing the balance springs. Perhaps it makes no difference but......

Thank you

The 15-105 is non-handed, so it can be installed on either side of the window. The break will work the same way on either side.
