Casement Operator Inquiry

Contractor from Colorado Springs

Wright operator 7701

This is off a Hurd casement (circa 1996). Your 39-317 & 318 split arms are a match. The operator has the locking clip on top of the arm.Is it reversible? I would call the color of the operator bronze - do you agree. Your site shows multiple colors for handles but only a white operator. Hopefully you have bronze operators to match- please confirm

Thanks for posting. I agree, your old operator looks like our 39-317 & 39-318 Split-Arm Operators. Just go over all the dimensions and make sure they match your old part. Yes, the detach clip can be popped off and flipped around to the underside. Finally, sorry, but I am afraid this operator is only available in white. Let us know what you think.

On closer observation I see your 3 1/2" arm is riveted below the 4 3/8" crank arm. Looks like I don't need to not worry about flipping the clip since the 3 1/2" arm needs to be flipped and rerivited to the top of the 4 3/8" arm to match the Wright configuration. I presume you can also supply the rivets?

Ah, you are right. My apologies, I should have caught that myself! In this case, take a look at our 39-387 & 39-388 Split-Arm Operators instead. These are very similar to what I originally recommended, but in this case the link arm is riveted atop the gear arm, as with your original part. Let us know what you think.
