Channel Balance Assistance

Thanks for posting. This looks like a Series 795 Channel Balance. There are a few things to clarify before proceeding:

• You'll need the length of the metal channel, not including the T-Lock Shoe, to determine the length you need for your window. 
• Please show us a picture of any stamp code on the metal channel.
• You'll need to obtain an undamaged version of your T-Lock Shoe, perhaps from the other balance in this window. Please show us a picture. 
• Finally, can you show us a picture of the hole in the window track where that hook attaches?

Thanks for getting back to us. We're getting there. We know you need a 28" Series 795, with the 15-195 T-Lock Shoe. You will also 15-198 Hook attached on top, which we can do for you via a custom order. We just need that stamp code on the metal channel, so we know the stamp option you need. If there is none, please give us the exact weight of your window sash. That exact weight will tell us the stamp option you require. 

Can you double-check that window sash weight? 10 ounces would be improbably light, especially for balances this long. If in doubt, place the scale on the window sill and lower the sash onto the scale. Let me know what you find.

Thanks for getting back to me. If the window weighs exactly 25 lbs, then a stamp option of 28D, which covers a window sash in the weight range of  23 through 28 lbs, should work for you. I am sending you an email with a custom link to order (2) 28" Series 795 balances, stamped 28D, with the 15-198 hook attached. The 15-195 1-1/4" Shoe comes by default attached to these balances.
