Channel Balance Assistance

A handy person from Grand Island, New York says:
I have 2 windows that no longer stay up. 2 sets of springs. The springs seem OK, but the plastic clip that attaches to them does not stay in the metal springs anymore. Not sure how the plastic clips "attach" and if I need new springs with the plastic clip to hold the windows or just the new plastic clips.

Also need one of the white clips to lock the window in place.

Windows are ~ 34x72

Thanks

Thanks for posting. This T-Lock Shoe looks like either our 15-194 or 15-195, depending on the width of the shoe. However, note that your T-Lock Shoe has a characteristic groove in the stem, that interfaces with a groove in the stem of your channel balances. Both our shoes and balances lack this feature; therefore you will need to replace not only the shoes, but the balances as well.

The balances will be our Series 795. We will need the length of the metal channels, the stamp code on the metal channels, as well as a picture of the hole in the window track that those hooks on top attach to. From there, we should be able to identify precisely what you need. For more information about replacing these balances, see this blog article here.
