Channel Balance Help

Question

We ordered part S380-18 option 1710, S385-26 option 2510, and S600-25 red tip last week. When we install them, the windows cannot close and stay open about an inch. My field tech is telling me that they are all an inch too long. I do not have the original balances from the window.

I need to return these and ask for the correct size(s) and balances.

How do we proceed?

Visible glass: 15 3/16 high x 28 wide 11 pounds weight
23 1/4 high x 20 wide 11 pounds weight
23 high x 28 wide 14.5 pounds weight

The top sashes are fixed.

Greetings. Sorry to hear the items you purchased did not work out. See our Return Policy here. It sounds like you might require the following balances instead. Please note these are just educated guesses. Without seeing the original balances, I am afraid there's no way for me to say for sure if these are what you require:

Visible glass: 15 3/16 high x 28 wide 11 pounds weight = S385-17 (w/ stamp option 1610)
23 1/4 high x 20 wide 11 pounds weight = S385-25 (w/ stamp option 2410)
23 high x 28 wide 14.5 pounds weight = S600-26 (Red Tip)
