Hi,

I have a Patriot window with a broken T-lock balance shoe that needs to be replaced. It's my understanding that neither the 15-194 nor the 15-195 would fit my "old" channel balance, so I would have to replace the entire channel balance. It appears that I would need the S795. Below is a picture of my channel balance. Do the numbers mean I would need to get the 28C? Also, my channel balance has a hook on the top, which I would need as well. Please advise.

Hi, in addition to the questions above. Would there be any issues with replacing just one of the channel balance or should I replaced both at the same time?

Thanks for posting! I can't say for sure if our 15-194 or 15-195 can fit your balance. That is usually the case when the old balance has a certain indentation where the shoe installs, which our shoes cannot accommodate. Do you have that indentation? If you're not sure what I'm talking about, show me a couple pictures of the shoe so that we can confirm. I would also need to know whether you need the 1" wide 15-194 or 1-1/4" wide 15-195. Let me know that and we can work from there!

Hi, I've attached some photos (front, back and side) of the shoe. As you can see the top is broken off where the hook would normally be.

Ah, I thought so. I'm afraid neither the 15-194 nor 15-195 will work for you. You have a unique shoe and balance style that are no longer made. You would need a new Series 795 channel balance to replace your system. However, I'm still not sure if you have a 1" wide or 1-1/4" wide shoe. The Series 795 comes with a 1-1/4" wide shoe by default.

I believe I need a 1" (see attached). I figured I would need a new balance all together, but wasn't sure which option. Please see the picture in my initial post. I think I need the 28C, but with a hook at the top and a 1" shoe.

Thank you for clarifying. Yes, a S795-28 with a 28C option seems to match what you have. We can custom make this with a 15-194 1" wide shoe and a 15-198 hook. I will send you a custom order form for both. In this case it is best to replace both at the same time.
