Coil Balance

Question

I have Alside UltraMaxx vinyl double hung windows, installed in 2003. I need to replace 3-4 of the window balances (coil size 8). Photos attached. Will the 8 lb Series 140 Quick-Tilt, Single
Product Code: S140-8 work as a siutable replacement? Dimensions match - inside shape and coil cover shape appear different.

Thank you for reaching out to us. We don't believe the Series 140 will work for you without a lot of annoying work. As a policy, we always recommend sticking with the original hardware the window was designed to use. In your case, it would be the 15-177 pivot shoe which uses the Series 152 coil springs.
