Coil Balance for Simonton Window

Home Owner from Owings MD
Hello
I have a few simonton windows with failed coil balance springs.  I was hoping you could help me identify the part that I would need to replace.  I have two windows that are exactly the same that have both sides completely broken.  I've attached photos.
Also, one one of the windows the spring retaining clips have failed, (UV damage has made the plastic brittle and it cracked).  I am not sure if this can be replaced, if so, only one window has this problem.  I've included one picture of the part I'm discussing.
Thanks
Scott

Hello,

For the tilt latch shown in your first photo, you can start by comparing the specifications of the 26-243 and 26-244 tilt latches to yours.

As for the coil balances, it's tough to be sure without seeing the front of the pivot shoe but the 15-111 comes to mind. Take a look and confirm if the style and dimensions below match yours. If so, see if your cils springs match the 1/2" wide S160 coils springs used with this assembly. Thanks for posting and let us know if you need anything else.

Thank you Casey, I have added the picture of the front of the pivot shoe.  Does this close the case for it to be 15-111?

I agree that as long as the dimensions match, your pivot shoe is a match for the 15-111. Just let us know if you need anything else.

Thanks Casey!  What about at the top?  Looks like I am going from two 4.5 lb coil springs to one 9 lb. Do I need just a single cover for the top?

If the window used two 4.5 stamped coils, you could use two S160-04 coils with 15-150D double supports. Using one S160-09 on each side with 15-150S single supports would also support the same amount of weight.
