Hello there!

Thank you for reaching out to us. We don't sell the pivot shoe shown here. The 15-228 is similar though. Take a look at the specifications and see how they compare with yours.

The compatible springs are the 1/2" S160 and 3/8" S165. We have also related compatible spring supports depending on the number of coil springs used on each side of the window.

Please let us know if you have any questions!

the pivot shoe you mention is ok. Im confused on the coil balance. Maybe its the terminology i'm unclear on. The coil spring is 1/2" wide. I need the complete support as I show in picture 4 along with pivot shoes.

probably easier to discuss via phone. my number is or if you need me to call in lmk which exact number or extension. I believe my reference is D347800. let me know either way. tx

Do all 4 of the coil springs have a 5 stamp? If so, that would be calibrated for a 20-pound sash. If that's indeed the case, you can use one S160-05 5.5-pound and one S160-04 4.5-pound coil springs on both sides of the window. 10 pounds of support on both sides will total 20 pounds of overall support. For compatible spring supports, see the 15-150D.

I'm afraid our department doesn't have a phone line, so we can only respond right here on this page.

I do not know if the other side has a five but why would it be different?
these are original from when I installed the windows so I would say yes. Also my cut out is at the top of the channel for the bottom sash. I also noticed a broken top balance on the top sash. Would I just need 4 of the pivot shoe, coil springs and holder?

I recommend checking each spring to confirm. In many cases, the other spring will have a different stamp/weight depending on the window sash's weight.

Yes, you would have to replace the whole assembly which includes the pivot shoes, coil springs, and the supports. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

I don't think I can check the others as they are enclosed in the plastic. Further. We only get to this location once a week at best. The one we did get out broke upon trying. I would say let's order everything needed for both sides and both sashes.

You should be able to snap the old coil supports apart to get to the spring. You can also weigh the window sash on a scale and divide the weight by the total number of springs in the window to determine the proper spring weights.

You can also place an order for the previously mentioned parts on our website at your convenience.
