Coil balance for American Craftsman windows

A handy person from New York says:
D6 stamped on the coil balance - not sure of the weight. It hooks into the shoe but there's also a little hole maybe a little over 1/4" from the end of the balance that I'm assuming I could put a screw in to secure a different kind of balance?

Thanks for writing in. The pivot shoe looks like our 15-177. The coil springs look like older versions of our Series 152. The Series 152 do not have that folded tongue; instead they attach to the pivot shoes via screws like our 33-072. Your stamp indicates you need our S152-6, which supports 6 lbs of weight individually. Let me know if you have any further questions.
