Product Description

This is a Series 152 stainless steel spring for tilt windows. It moderates the operation of your window sash using a specifically calibrated coil spring that allows the window to stay open when raised and remain shut when closed.

Individually, this coil balance can hold 6 pounds. This is added together with the other coils to support the whole weight of the sash.
The weight you need should be indicated as a stamp or imprint on your old spring.
Measures 1/2" thick.
Designed to work with the 15-175, 15-177, or 15-158 pivot shoe (sold separately). These shoes are not interchangeable.
This coil balance spring is sold individually, not in sets.
Can work for either the left or right side of the window interchangeably.
Coil balances are also known as constant force window balances.

Good Idea!

For best results, replace window balances in pairs (though sold individually). An old balance will overwork a new one, causing faster wear and uneven operation. Paired replacement ensures optimal, lasting performance.

I was thinking the S190 or S175 bronze is the right pick, but wasn't sure between short/medium/long. ... (cont.)

Window Coil Needed

One coil on my ViWinTech window broke. The window is about 20" wide. The only markings are on the coil itself. There's a "D" stamped into the coil. The shoes and other hardware all seem to be fine. I plan to replace both coils. Last time this happened I ordered a 8 lb Series 152 Coil Balance, but th ... (cont.)
