Need replacement coil springs and cups for a 28" x 20" vinyl window sash.

Please start by reviewing the 15-177 pivot shoe that is compatible with the Series 152 coil springs. Compare the dimensions below to confirm a good fit!

Your original coil springs should have a number stamped into the metal that indicates the weighted option needed to support the sash. If there are no markings, please provide the weight of the window sash to move forward.

Also see the 15-143 coil bushing, 15-144 bushing cap and 15-145 support barrel. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

Is there any harm using 9lb coil springs Series 152 if the sash is only 15lbs? It is not my house but was asked to help with the repair. I have not weighed the sash yet.

We recommend staying within a pound difference for the weighted coils. If you use a 9lb coil on each side that would equal to 18 pounds of weight which the extra 3 pound difference could cause the window to be harder to close.

If the sash weighs 15 pounds, we would recommend using (1) S152-8 coil on each side.

I need replacement coils and pivot shoes for 2 windows. The bottom sash weighs 24.5 lbs.

I also need replacement coils and cups for sashes weighing 17 lbs - 3 windows

Also 2 windows coils and cups where sash weighs 12.5 lbs.

Can you recommend parts needed for this order?

No problem!

For a 24.5 pound window sash, I recommend using (2) S152-6 coils on each side of the window.

17 pound window: you can use (1) S152-9 coil on each side.

12.5 pound window: you can use (1) S152-6 coil on each side.

For each coil spring you will need the 15-143 bushing, 15-144 bushing cap and 15-145 support barrel.
