Hi Samantha,
Thanks for posting! Your crank operator reminds me of one of three operators we have. Take a look at our 39-023, 39-477, and 39-487. You'll need to carefully compare the dimension for the arm length to determine which of these might be the best fit.
Each of these operators are compatible with the 39-114L Crank Handle. I've also tagged the opposite handed version of each operator below.
I'm sorry to say we do not have a video on how to replace this particular operator. Since your gear have been removed from the operator, you'll just need to slide the arm our of the track to remove it. There should be an opening so that you can pop out the roller at the end of the arm.
Your operator is a rear mount operator, which means the screws are installed in the back of the operator. You'll need to look for them just under the metal lip on the sill. Then, then you'll be able to remove the operator base.
When installing the replacement, you'll need to use the handle to crank the operator so that you can insert the arm into the opening on the sill. Once you have it in there, you'll need to install the screws into the base. From there you'll need to crank the arm so that you can connect the arm into the track on the sill.
You may need to maneuver the arm slightly so that you can get the operator to a point where you can open and close the window without over-torqueing the crank.
Please feel free to reach out with any other questions.
We expect to receive the 39-476 and 39-477 sometime within the next 4 weeks or so but that is not a concrete estimate. There is a chance they could come sooner but we have seen instances where it could take a bit longer. I'm sorry that I do not have more information for you.
Given the length of the arm and the way the operator mounts to the window, unfortunately, we do not have an alternative we could recommend to you.
You may be able to use the shorter arm for your repairs but there are some risks to consider. To install it, you'll need to adjust the track on the bottom of the window sill so that the wheel at the end of the arm will properly interact with it.
That said, you'll need to keep in mind that the window likely will not open as wide as it currently does and there is an equal risk that it won't close at all.
I hope this helps!
