I did watch your video on how to change out the coil balance which seems pretty simple. In your video your tracks have cut outs in them my do not. Should I make the cuts like the ones in the video in order to get the coil and pivot lock show out?
Also I have enclosed some pictures as I still cannot find who makes these window.

Thanks...Frank the Firefighter

Thanks for posting, Frank! Is there a window stop at the top of the jamb? If so, there might be a cutout behind it. If not, you may need a jamb spreader. Please take a look at our 75-069 should that be necessary.

Hello Paul,

I can see that a spreader would work..BUT also did you have any luck ID the parts that I need. The pictures include the stop and the coil, or is it best for me to remove one and try to photo and try to get some measurments?

Yes; unfortunately, we will need to see these parts removed from the window in order to successfully identify them. Please also provide measurements, and tell us of any numbers printed or stamped on the parts themselves. Thank you.

Hello, I believe I have the same issue as a previous post ( see enclosed pdf form your site) I did get the parts out and think the shoe is your part number Product Code: 15-177.

I also need any and all parts to do this job since I want to do it once and do it right. So I need the shoe, two springs the rollers and cover and anything else you might think of.

Also why cant I simple use one spring with more power make the whole system less complicated?

See enclosed..

It does appear that our 15-177 coil balance shoe is the closest match we have. Your plastic covers look good, as well, but your springs look sprung. You might need new ones. Take a look at our Series 152 coil balance and see if that might work for you.

Frank the firefighter!
Do yourself the favor and order the Jamb spreaders from Swisco. I just completed replacing hardware similar to yours and I was also concerned there were no cut-outs on my 30 year old windows. Biggest decision is deciding if paying the $148 for a set of jamb spreaders is worth the aggravation....for me I cost justified the purchase because I had multiple windows requiring lots and lots of pivot shoe's requiring replacing. Kicker was my brother-in-law across the boulevard also has a boatload of broken pivot shoes on the identical vinyl windows. I completed repairs on two windows averaging 20 minutes/window. Ran out and ordered more of 15-046 Swisco pivot shoes..hope to get them before weekend and be done with this project. No fun listening to nagging wife!
