Pair may be best so balanced equally. Also need tab at top of window.

Hi there!

Thanks for reaching out to us. It appears you have a Simonton balance assembly. With that in mind, I recommend the 15-259 and S159 coil balances. You will also need the 26-083 for this conversion. The video below will go over everything you'll need to know.

For a new tilt latch, see if the specifications of the 26-243 and 26-244 match up with yours.

Old balance coils one J 406 other J 407... what do I replace with? What else is needed?

You'll have to weigh the window sash and divide the weight by the total number of springs to determine the proper spring weights. Depending on how many springs are used per side, you'll need the 15-255 single spring support or the 15-256 double spring support.
