Finding the right balance

Quick Learner

looking though your website, it appears the Series 795 balence is a perfect fit as it includes the 15-195 T-Lock Balance bottom fitting closed shoe.

Agree?

The only difference is the top has the screw hole vs a hook. I could probably engineer something, but wondering if you have something.

Reading more on your website, the top hook appears to be Product Code: 15-198. Balance Clip Attachment. But that's not listed as in-stock. Can you confirm if that's available or not.

Also, looking at it, why can't I cut the metal around the screw hole at the bottom which will form a hook with the remaining screw hole (if that make sense). Which would hook in the hole. Not pretty, but seems like it would work?

I need approx 20 of these, so trying to get the correct part. Several windows don't have a balance. Sample pict uploaded.

30" Series 765 Balance S765-30 and Pivot Shoe 1/2" Thick

To try 1st. I need some 26" and some 30". That's easy.

The balance fits in the window. On the top, I need a hook vs the eye for a screw. Do you have that?

2nd the pivot shoe looks different, but its the same width. Is there any reason that won't work? If you don't have a pivot shoe that looks like what we have. Also, for the installation of the pivot shoe, How do you get that into the window tray? Should that go in through the top? On the ones I have, I can rotate them and get them into the tray.

This is for a rental house that we are trying to close on the sale, so time is important. Thank you in advance for your quick response.

Thanks so much for reaching out to us. I agree with your analysis, it looks like you have a Series 795 balance but with a hook at the top. This is a routine custom balance we can make for you in our shop before we send it out.

If that interests you, please give me an exact count for each size you want to buy. I also need you to tell me the stamp printed on each size. I can then email you a purchase link and price quote that will let you place an order on our site.

The 15-198 is not currently in stock, but we are trying our best to get it back on the shelf. Expect a lead time of approximately 5-6 business weeks.

Regarding the shoe, I don't see anything that makes me think our 15-195 wouldn't work. Looks pretty normal to me, but if you have any doubts please specify what the difference in design is and we can look into it. To install them, you just put the balance in sideways at a 90 degree angle, twist, then tilt up into position.
