Gorell 5300 double hung window

Question

I have Gorell 5300 series double hung windows that I need to replace the springs and pivot shoes, will this spreader work or do I need to cut the frame? I would like to remove one so I can see if there are any part numbers on the springs and shoes to make sure I order the correct items.

Thanks for posting. If your window is made from vinyl, the jamb spreaders should work. Although, the cutout method may make future repairs a bit easier in the long run, depending on the exact hardware installed in the window.
