I dropped my mortise lock

Quick Learner from Arizona
I dropped my mortise lock into the door. Then I took the door sash off and turned it upside down. But I missed the mortise lock on the way by, and now it's stuck in the top of the door.

Please see measurements in attachment. Plus a Swisco guy asked me to measure the hole space on the screw holes on the edge of the door. It's 7-5/8". Or maybe 7-3/4".

If possible, I'd like to keep the original handle. It works.
But if I need the whole handle, lock, and striker set that's okay.

Hello there!

Thank you for reaching out to us. It's difficult to say without photos of the original mortise lock. Our 82-265, 82-260, and 82-239 are a place to start but they're just educated guesses. Look over the specifications for each and see how they compare to the cut-out in the door.

Maaybe I should have been said "Keeper Plate is missing. Do you recommend a replacement part."

Thanks for the clarification! Now that I have a good look at your mortise, I'm sorry to say that we don't sell a keeper that would be compatible with it. Yours is a particular design whose hooks face outwards, which differs from the selection that we sell. I don't believe any of our keepers would be compatible with it.

My recommendation would be to contact the original manufacturer to see if they can supply you with the exact keeper meant to work with this mortise lock.
