I need to replace several Rusco Window crank operators

Home Owner from MN

I have multiple Rusco windows installed around 1990-92 and the crank operators are not working properly on several of them. They are both left (4) and right (4) open styles. It appears that one of the gears is lifting up during close causing the window to not close fully. I feel that I can replace them if I have the correct units, also, the housing for the crank doesn't come off freely, is there a special tool for this?

This operator appears to be a match for our 39-253LB and 39-253RB. Start by looking these over and see how well they match your original.

Just note that you may also have the 39-439B and 39-438B. The difference between this pair and the previous pair lies in the design of the guide at the end of the arm. The video below will go into more detail.

Thanks for the update, it appears to me that I have the 39-253RB & 39-253LB versions. Where can I purchase replacements? I need four (4) of each version. I see the 39-253LB above, is the price the same for the 39-253RB?

Thanks

Mike
