Levolor Balance

Handy Person from Pittsburgh, PA
I have Levolor windows that were installed before we took ownership of the house over 10 years ago. While cleaning them this spring, I didn't seat one of the windows correctly after tilting and I broke the balance shoe. It's a double coil for window that's a little under 36" wide. There is no stamp on the coil...
Thanks!

Thanks for posting. This is a Simonton coil balance system that is no longer made, but it can be replaced with the 15-259 Pivot Shoe and Series 159 Coil Balance springs. To know what spring weights to select, see the second video. Let me know if you have further questions.

So the sash weights 22.4 lbs. Should I just be selecting the 11.5 lb option for the spring then? And then doing a single coil holder?
If you could help me line up the products to buy in total based on that info, I would sincerely appreciate it!

Yep! If the sash weighs exactly 22.4 pounds, then two of the S159-11 11.5 pound springs, one for each side of the sash, will work just fine. That will give you 23 pounds of overall support--being within 1 pound of the actual sash weight works just fine. For new single covers, see the 15-255. Let me know if you have further questions!
