Home Owner from NC
The balance does not operate properly. The shoe separates from the metal channel. Window hard to open. Do you the shoe?
I sent pictures for the shoe and a code stamped on 5he metal channel.

Thank you.

Thanks for posting. This shoe looks similar to our 15-194 1" T-Lock Shoe. An issue however is that your old T-Lock Shoe has a characteristic 'groove' in the stem, that lets it interact with a similar groove in your channel balance. Neither our balances or our T-Lock Shoes feature this groove. Therefore, you need not only a new T-Lock Shoe, but a new channel balance as well. This looks like one of our Series 795 Channel Balance. We have just a few questions to determine what you need.

  • Can you confirm the length of the metal channel, not including the attachments at either end?
  • Can you show us a picture of the hole in the window track that the top of this balance attaches to?

From there, we'll recommend what you need more precisely. Many thanks.

Looking for replacement parts for MW Vinyl Classic Single Hung windows. I have various sizes of windows throughout the home. The shoe comes apart from the metal balance; very difficult to open window(safety hazard).
Markings on this shoe Pat #'s 6.679.000 4.610.108. D467.490.

Pictured metal balance has 30B stamped on it. The balance does not remove easily from channel.

Do you offer replacement parts? Thank you.

It looks like you are showing the same type of balance hardware that you requested back in 2020. As Bob mentioned in his response, we can supply the replacements you need but it looks like you'll need the S795-30 (30B) balances with the 15-194 T-lock and 15-198 pulley clip attached through a custom order. Review the specifications below compared to your original assembly.

Also, make sure to confirm that your metal channel measures 30" long. We'll also need to know the number of 30B stamped balances you need, with the minimum being two. Thank you!
