Thanks for posting! The components in your window are not ones I typically see installed together. That said, I suspect this may be something that was put together to be put into the window, so I'll need to get our senior experts to take a look at this.

In the meantime, from what I can see of the shoe in the window, I do not believe the Series 140 Quick-Tilt Balance to be the correct replacement for your repairs. To determine the correct replacement, I'll need to see a photo of the shoe and all of the other components removed from the window channel, including the pivot bar that should be installed at the bottom of the sash.

Thanks for the photos! I believe since this is a custom build, the windows may also be a custom configuration. Our coil balances do not have the travel length to be installed at the top of the window channel like yours do. That said, we can certainly provide you with a replacement solution, but it will require drilling new holes.

To start, the coil balance support being used with your coils is not the correct replacement. Since you have the 1/2" thick 15-111 Pivot Shoe, you'd need the 15-150D Coil Double Support. Both the shoe and the cover are compatible with the Series 160 Coil Balance. Since your sash weighs 21.5lbs, I would suggest using (4) of the S160-05 Coil Balances.

The pivot bar compatible with the 15-111 Shoe is the 26-241 Pivot Bar. Carefully review and compare the dimensions to confirm that at least one of the installation holes matches up with the one on your pivot bar.

In regard for how to mount them in the window, my best suggestion would be to follow the instructions we have for making the cutouts in the video below. You'll notice the installation hole for the screw on the cover is just about where the cutout is being made.

Can you please give the dimensions for the distance between the hole from end to end, for each end? I'll need to see these written out.

Thanks for the photos. I believe our 26-454 may possibly work to replace your pivot bar. It has a 1" installation hole measurement.
