NAMI Casement Window Operator

Home Owner from Dublin Ohio

It appears that the gear mechanism on my NAMI casement window operator will not function. I have attached pictures and a diagram with the major dimensions. Do you sell replacement operators and if so, what is the price and lead time for delivery? I will need two units. Let me know if your require any additional information.

Thanks

Hi, Jim.

It appears you have our 39-253LB & 39-253RB or 39-438B & 39-439B operators. These parts may look almost identical but the best match depends on the guide at the end of the arm. Take a look at the video below which will help you pick the correct one.

Thanks Emily for your response and input. However, I am unable to disassemble the current operator from my casement window. I cannot remove the cover from the operator without damaging the window frame and the operator. Also, I cannot detach the long left hand radius arm that has the plastic slider guide on the end, similar to your part number 39439B. (photos attached.) Do I need to have the window is certain position to detach this arm from the track?

I cannot find a label or name on the window of the manufacturer, however I did find the stamped name "Truth" on one of the components and on the 7.5" radius arm I found a part number 31858. Don't know if that helps.

Would appreciate any information you can provide on how to disassemble the operator from the window.

Thanks

Jim

To detach the arm from the track, it should just come out at the end. You might have to unscrew the track first if it proves to be too awkward.

As for removing the sill trim, this can be tricky since yours is vinyl. I'm going to forward this to one of our senior experts to see what they recommend and how best to approach it. We'll reach out as soon as more information is available.

Hello, Jim!

Thank you very much for waiting during this busy season of ours. Regarding your vinyl sill cover, see the video below. The sill in this video is wooden and the featured operator is different but the removal of the sill is the same principle. However, since yours is vinyl, you must be very, very careful since this material is prone to cracking when exposed to the sun for long periods of time. If this window gets a lot of sun, you'll want to be very methodical with this process. You may even want to contact a local professional who has worked on a window like this before if you're not comfortable doing so.

Once the sill is removed, you'll be able to unscrew the operator.
