Need coil spiring balance assembly

Looking to get a new set of these. Do you recommend a replacement part for a complete assembly? There are no other names and numbers on the pieces that I have.

These window balances are an older, discontinued Simonton assembly. Our recommendation is to replace them using the 15-259 Coil Balance Pivot Shoe. You'll also need the 26-083 Pivot Bar since your existing pivot bar will not be compatible with this shoe.

You'll need the Series 159 Coil Balance to replace the coils, along with the 15-256 Coil Double Support. There is a video tutorial tagged below this thread with instructions on selecting the correct coil weight option.

What is the best way to pick the right balance weight? Looks like I will need 2 for each side, so assuming 1/4 the total window weight?

Also, will I need a coil support barrel as well?

You'll have to weigh the window sash and divide the weight by the total number of springs used to determine the correct coil weights. This assembly does not require a support barrel.
