Thanks for posting. All of our standard channel balances come with their attachments installed. Please confirm that the metal channel, not including the end attachments, is 29". If so, see either our S380-29 or S385-29 Channel Balances. The only difference between these two Series is the 'depth' of the bottom nylon shoe. With the Series 380 the depth of this nylon shoe is 1", whereas with the Series 385 it is 1-3/32". Compare with your own and see what is best.

Once you know which balance to select, you must choose a stamp option. Your stamped number of 28D conforms to our stamp option of 2840, which is for a window sash in the weight range of 23 through 28 lbs. Let us know if you have any questions.

Bob,

According to the attached photos I was wondering if the channel balance is supposed to be exposed when the window is closed as per the first photo? And if so would I be right in assuming that is because the top sash has been damaged? In addition I took a photo of the opposite side of the same window where I believe the clip is broken? Thanks so much for your help so far in this matter and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

You're right, Kevin. Looks like at least one of your top sash guides needs to be replaced. If you could remove the undamaged one and show us mugshot pictures of it of the front and side, we may be able to identify the right replacement for you. As far as the clip, I can't quite make it out in the picture; but if it's the clip used to hold the channel balance in place during removal, see our 16-002

Bob,

As per your request concerning the take out clip product code: 16-002,I removed one and measured it at what looks like 1 7/16" (First Photo) but it doesn't match the measurements of 1 1/4" From your website (Second Photo)? I searched for other takeout Clips on your website and couldn't find any that were similar? I thought I was possibly taking the measurements wrong? Thanks again for your time and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Kind regards,
Kevin

Hm, you're not wrong, that is a bit longer than our 16-002. Considering how these Take-Out Clips install and function, it may not be an issue at all. But I can't say for certain. I am afraid it's all we have as far as Take-Out Clips go, so it's certainly worth trying.
