Need replacement crank mechanism.

A home owner from Fox Island, Washington State says:

The mechanism starts ratcheting when the window reaches almost full closed and starts to provide some resistance, so can't close the window all the way with the hand crank. Want to replace the whole mechanism, but can't find a part number. Unable to get the lid off the mechanism without potentially breaking it to try to find a part number.

Can you identify this whole mechanism, including the window arm if necessary unless I can reuse it, so I can purchase it?

Thank you,

Joe

Hello, Joe. It definitely sounds like the gears are stripped out. You will need a new operator, as you surmised.

Yours in particular looks like an older model of our 39-013 and 39-014. I am very confident that these are what you want, but you should look them over first just to be safe.
