Thanks for reaching out! Your balances appear to be the discontinued crossbow style balance. These have been converted to use our Series 795 Channel Balances.

To confirm that these balances will be a situatable replacement, you'll need to obtain a few measurements from your existing balances. These include the length of an undamaged balance and the width of the bottom T-shaped attachment (it will either be 1" or 1-1/4" across the bottom of the T shape).

To determine the stamp option you'll need, I'll need to know the exact weight of the sash.

Take a look at the video below for instructions on this balance conversion and the information you'll need to determine the correct balances. Let me know if you have any questions.

I have 17 windows that I need to replace the balances in. I understand that the approve bale has been discontinued.

The balances are 32" long, 5/8" in diameter. The T on the base is 1" wide, and the window weight is 16 .

Can you send me the part number, so I can order them.

Thank you

Willis

Thanks for confirming this information. You can use our S795-32 channel balance with a 15-194 1" T-Lock Balance Shoe (which is sold separately). You'll need to select the 16B option for your 16lb sash.

There is a chance that this may need to be a custom assembly but that will depend on how the balance installs to the top of the window channel.

You may be able to use our 26-200 Balance Screw Plug. Although, if the space is not square in shape you'll need the 15-198 hook installed to the top. If this is the case, please let me know and I am happy to get the quote made up for the balances you need.
