If your worm gear comes out of the operator base when you turn the handle, then the gears are stripped out and you will need an all new operator entirely.

Yours in particular appears to match our 39-036. We also sell the 39-035 for the opposite side. Your old cover and handle should be reusable as long as they aren't damaged.
