Needing casement window hardware
My name is Laura and we're currently working on a kitchen project. The kitchen has a casement window that is original from when the home was built in 1975. The window itself is in great shape however I want to replace the crank and the lock. I'm having a challenge finding the proper replacements though.
I've attached pictures of what the current crank and lock look like. I know the window crank has a long bar that goes into a metal piece under the window and the be l metal part on the window is flush with the front of the frame. I believe the lock has a hook-type latch (you pull up on the handle and you can feel it release from something it's holding)
Please let me know if you have these items and what the item numbers may be so I can order them.
Thank you
Can your company help me with replacing these pieces of window hardware? I have five I'd like to replace.
Hello,
Unfortunately, we do not carry a replacement for the old-style sweep lock shown in your photos.
As for the operators, we do not carry an exact match but the 39-013 may be worth considering depending on how the arm length shown below compares to your part. We also offer the 39-014 opposite-handed version, as well as a few tracks commonly used with these operators. See the 39-505 and 39-533.
If you need new hinges as well, take a look and see how the 10" long 36-048 set compares to your original hinges. Thank you!
Do you have a recommendation for a lock that could work with this window instead of the one I have?
As Casey mentioned, we do not carry anything similar to the old-style lock shown in your photos. Yours uses a sweep hook that is considerably larger than anything we can supply. We apologize for the inconvenience.
