spiral balances for tilt windows

Home Owner from Cocoa Beach, Florida

I would like to order parts to repair the spiral balance assemblies for 5 tilt-out windows (Acorn brand?) in an ocean-front Florida apartment. Window glass (single pane) and casings in good shape but slider hardware is badly corroded from the salt air. Sash weight is best guess ~20 lbs. Sash dimensions are 41" x 24.5:" x 0.5" (wxhxd)

Parts needed are:

10 spiral balances D=3/8” L=23” w/ best guess for spring strength blue tip (?)10 pivot shoes w/ guesstimate dimensions 2" x 0.5" x 0.5" (?)10 pivot bars10 sash locks (Acorn)1 spiral balance charging tool

Please review attached pictures, and then I’d like to call for recommendations/advice. I am in Florida next week and would like to have parts shipped to arrive by 12/12 (if possible) so I can do repair  while there. Or we can figure a plan “B.”

I am sending a part 2 and part 3 message with additional pictures. One pic displays mfg label for windows.

Thank you,

Brad

Hello,

For your 3000 Series Acorn window. The pivot shoe resembles the 15-015. The 3/8" blue tip spiral balance would be the S900-23. Your photos resemble the 26-040 pivot bar, 55-063 window stop, and the 26-169 tilt latch. You are correct that the 75-006 charging tool will help with the install.

The pivot shoe in your second batch of photos is too damaged to be sure, but the 15-045 would be a good place to start. Take a look and compare the specifications shown on our product pages to your original hardware. Thank you!
