Hello!

Thanks for reaching out to us. We believe you have 3/8" diameter balance tubes that would be a match for our Series 400 balance system. The bottom sash bracket looks like our 17-010 and the top sash guide looks like the 18-034. You will need the 75-005 charging tool to charge the balance spring and attach the spiral bow tie to the 17-010 bracket. Please compare our specifications with yours to see how they align. Below is a generic direction.

Replace the fittings on your sash first, then screw the balance tubes at the top of the window track. Place the sash at the top over the balance tube to one side of the window track and swing the other side over. Now have someone hold it in place while you bring one of the spirals up to meet the sash, hook the 75-005 tool to the spiral and give it about three or four clockwise turns, you will feel the tension build. Hook the bow tie to the 17-010 bracket. Do the same on the other side and try the sash.

Thank you so much for your guidance with this, from the pictures I sent, can you identify the type of weather stripping these windows should have had ? They all appear to be missing

Honestly, there are some cases where windows like this don't have or use weatherstripping. Pile could be another possibility but that's no guarantee. I'm afraid we can't identify missing weatherstripping or advise new applications, but our pile selection can be found here
