Coil balance identification

Quick Learner from Denver, CO
hi folks, this part broke and fell out. The one on the opposite side of the sash has popped out, but I don't think is broken. Could you please help me identify this part and give me any instructions for replacement? Thank you

Hello,

Your photos show the 15-102 double-sided load carrier, which uses the Series 145 coil springs. See instructions below to install them:

  • First, attach the15-222 sash guide base on the top corners of the sash.
  • Then, rotate the S145-5 coil spring into the spring slot on the track with the tab facing up.
  • Next, place the 15-102 side load carrier over the spring. The lowest pocket must always be used first.

Make sure to use caution for the next step!

  • With both hands, apply outward pressure to hold the carrier firmly against the jamb.
  • Extend the carrier with the spring assembly downward.
  • When sash lock is in alignment, with lock slot in jamb, press sash lock in slot flush with the carrier.
  • Repeat the process on the opposite side.
  • Load the sash above the carriers and ease the sash down to resting position on the carriers.
  • Slide the 15-223 sash cover over the 15-222 base.
  • Apply slight downward pressure to the sash and unlock the 15-102 carrier from the jamb.
