Pivot Shoe Identification
Hello!
Thank you for bearing with us during this busy season. I'm afraid I'm not familiar with this pivot shoe. It does resemble the 15-268, but the cam is different. I'm going to consult one of our senior experts, and we'll reach back out ASAP.
In the meantime, would it be possible for us to see a photo of the old pivot bar removed from the window sash?
the piviot is 3.5" in length x 5/16" width x 3/16" height , i dont have a measurment on the flare
If I were servicing your window sash, I would use the 9/16" thick 15-129 with the 26-040 pivot bar. The flare end of the pivot bar is to keep the sash tight to the window track, but given the age of your window, that isn't necessary, and the flare might cause problems with the operation of the window.
To remove the rusted pivot bar, turn the sash upside down like in your photo and soak the screw with WD-40 for a few minutes to loosen the rust.
