Pivot lock shoe Window

A home owner from Los Angeles, California says:
I had several double hung windows professionally installed. Three of these windows (1 bathroom, 1 bedroom and 1 living room window that tilt for cleaning)slam down and refuse to remain open.

Per your video, I believe I need Pivot lock shoes for these vinyl windows.
I have included pictures and specs for one window.

Any help to identify would be much appreciated. Sincerely,Vivian

Hello,

It sounds like you need new coil balances to support the weight of your window sash. Take a look and compare the specifications of the 15-177 pivot shoe, which uses the S152 coils springs and related items shown on our product pages, to your original hardware removed from the window. Thanks for posting!

Here is a picture of the broken, 1/2" coil balance. Both are stamped " 7K "

Thank you.

Hi Casey,
It appears that I may need to ID two additional parts before placing my order.
They are:
1. Pivot bar
2. pop-out window stop latch?

photos are attached.
Thank you,
Thomas

No problem. Take a look and compare the specifications of the 26-122 vent latch to yours.

As for your pivot bar, we would need to see yours fully removed from the window, along with written-out dimensions, to compare to our inventory.

Thanks for getting back to us. We do not carry an exact match for your pivot bar but we have recommended the 26-030 as a possible replacement in the past. Take a look and confirm that the backset of at least one of your installation holes matches the specifications shown below.

I can also confirm that the 26-122 would be our best replacement option for your vent latch. I would recommend removing yours from the window and double-checking your dimensions since they are close to ours. If you decide to give it a try and run into any problems, our return policy can be found here
