Hello I have some questions before I place an order. Can I replace this combination of Pivot locking shoe 15-046/pivot bar 26-040 with Pivot locking shoe 15-135/pivot bar 26-042?I think the second option it's easier because you only have to pop the pivot in the shoe, isn't it? Is the color of that bottom part of the shoe where the pivot bar enters is different depending on the thickness of the shoe? I was wondering if the color is beige for the 1/2 thick shoe, black for the 5/8 , blue for the 17/32.The one I want to replace is 1/2 and the color and is beige. I don't have vinyl windows but the product you sell should work for aluminum windows as well, isn't it? Thank you.

Hello! I don't think these two combinations are interchangeable. If you do have 15-046 pivot shoe and 26-040 tilt bar, I would stay with them. The window manufacturer designed their windows for those parts. The 15-135 pivot shoe and 26-042 might not fit properly, and it isn't easy to remove the center cam since they are locked in with a spring.
For aluminum windows, the manufacturer usually has a cut out behind the top stop for the bottom sash and a bottom stop for the top sash, so you can remove the pivot shoe. Please check them out.
