Sorry to hear that the 26-438 did not work. Your original pivot bar and pivot shoe are no longer made. However, your pivot shoe can be replaced by our 15-199, so we pulled it out of stock and tested a few different pivot bars with it. Take a look at our 26-452 pivot bar instead. This works with the 15-199, and so it should be compatible with your shoe as well. 

I think that would be your best bet, yes. They may work fine mixed and matched, but you may also run into complications in the future because of it. Better replace both just to be safe. 

That's just my personal opinion, though. It's ultimately up to you.
