Quaker brighton double hung windows

Home Owner from Missouri
Looking through the site I gather I would need the following parts to replace 9 balancer for our home.
5795-33 33 series 795 Chanel balancer 33D
15-216  Block pivot shoe
26-402 Side mount pivot bar
15-224 Inverted link
The clips at the top of the balancer have broken off the plastic chanels on the sides of the windows. Is there a better way of securing the clips at the topof the Chanel?
Thank you for your time

Hi there!

Thank you for reaching out to us. I agree with your assessment. What we can offer is the S795-33 with the 33D stamp and 15-198 hook attached. This will come attached with the 15-195 shoe but you'll have to pop it off so that you can install the 15-224 (sold separately) to the balance. Note that the pivot shoe and pivot bar are also sold separately.

With that said, I'll email you a purchase link for (9) balances that you can use to place an order on our website. Please note that we always recommend replacing your balances in pairs. Using an old balance with a new one would only cause the new balance to wear out much faster.

I'm not sure what clips you're referring to, however. Are you referring to the hook? If so, can we see photos of the window track where the hooks insert?

The first picture is a perfect example, the hook has broken off the top of the trac. About 1/4 to 1/2 of an inch of the plastic has bent in or broken off some of the windows. The 2nd picture of a connected  balancer, where the hook is suposed to be connected at the top of the track of the window.

It looks like you are showing the 15-198 hook that will come attached to the custom balances we sent you a purchase link for. I'm not sure why the jamb liner would be breaking unless it is due to age or the balances could be too strong, putting additional tension on the jamb cutout. These are just a few possibilities but you may want to check the weight of your sash to confirm that it falls within the 25-30 pound range that the 33D stamped balances are calibrated to support.
