Hi there Jim!
Thank you very much for bearing with us during this busy season. We're happy to help with this, but we will need to see a photo of the pivot shoe. If we can ID that first, we can determine the compatible coil balances.
Attached are the photos of the pivot shoe. I noticed on one of the coils it has a stamp that i believe is:
#4.5 35
Thanks
Thank you, Jim! We don't sell this exact shoe, but we recommend you consider the 17/32" thick and 1-1/4" wide 15-199. Review the specifications and see how they compare with your old shoe.
Our shoe is designed for use with the 1/2" S160 coil springs. The #4.5 stamp indicates the weight of the coil spring. If there is a total of four of these used in the window, that would be 18 pounds of overall support, which would be too light for the 21-pound sash.
If the window weighs 21 pounds, we'd recommend using two S160-05 5.5-pound springs on each side of the window. This would total 22 pounds of overall support.
Please let us know if you have any questions.
