Replacement balance for 24" Unique 23-E-50

I understand that the manufacturer Unique has since stopped making window balances. Therefore I need a replacement balance to purchase that will work in the window. I have found similar style balances out there but none of the dimensions match my current balance exactly. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for posting. I believe this is a match for your Series 770 balance, though it appears that you have a 62-105 hook attached rather than the standard hook. We can custom make this for you, if you wish. Before we start, can you just tell me how many you need?

From what I've read, I should replace the set when needing to replace one. Therefore I'd need 2. I don't know if the photos show, but I don't have that "star-shaped" plastic piece at the top of the balance though. The balance was open at the top above the spring. Will that make any difference now having an additional component at the top of the balance?

Your balance just screws in at the top, right? If so, I don't think it will be an issue. That star shaped piece just helps you install the screw. If anything, installation should be a little easier.

I actually wanted to just confirm one last thing before we continue. I note your stamp is 23-E. Now, our S770-24 uses a 24E stamp. Two balances with this stamp can carry a sash weight of 25 through 28 pounds. Does your sash weight fall within that range? I just want to be sure, since the stamp is technically different.
