Replacement of window springs

A home owner from Polk City, FL says:

I need to replace the window balance springs. i would like 2 sets along with the window parts that appear to be worn out.

The length is 33".

I tried installing the old part but I could hardly draw it down 1 inch to hook under the snap out catch. needed another 5 6 inches. Are the new ones that difficult.

The identification numbers that I have are as follows: 22 3 KO Caldwell.

The window weight is 18.6 Lbs.

I included a bunch of pictures.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Thanks for your photos. Based on what I see here, you have either our S351-23 or S390-23, depending on the depth of the bottom shoe. That's the only difference between them. I recommend measuring your shoe and referring to our dimensions to confirm the best match.

As for installation, I personally find these to be pretty simple to install. You can see detailed instructions below.

I have a 1 inch bottom shoe. Would the option be 2230?
I would like to replace the piece on the window. What would that part number be?

Tom from SWISCO responded:

Yes, your old stamp of 22-3 matches our more modern 2230.

If your shoe depth is 1", then it will be the S351-23, as stated above.
