My Series 795 has a hook on top, not a screw

Quick Learner from NC
My plygem windows T shoes have deteriorated, so I have to replace many. I first tried just tthe T shoe 15-194, which is very close to mine, but not exactly. It does not fit perfectly in to the existing channel balance, so I decided to buy a couple of channel balances to see how that goes. They come with shoe 15-195, so I changed them to 15-194. Now the top which is attached to the string has a flat metal piece with a hole in it and the one I am replacing is a hook, which just fits in the hole. How do you recomment I address this?

Hello! Sorry to hear you're having trouble with our balance. I see the problem, though. This is fairly common. You need a Series 795 balance with a 15-198 hook attached at the top of the cord instead of the default screw tab. We can supply a balance with this configuration but it would have to be a custom order.

Before we go any further, I would first recommend that you return the balances you purchased for a refund. You can see our return policy here

Next, can you tell me the size, stamp, and quantity of the balances you purchased? Once I know that, I'll duplicate those balances but will make the necessary changes to fit your window. They will come fully assembled with a 15-194 bottom shoe and 15-198 top hook.

Tom - thanks for the reply. I submitted a return request, now I just need to do the special order 795 32B with 15-194 & 15-198 hooks (4 total). How do I proceed?
Thanks,
Mike

Perfect, thank you! So, I'm going to email you a custom order link right now. That will include a price quote and will allow you to add these balances to your cart as if they were a stock item. You can then checkout as normal.

Please let me know if you had any questions.
