Replacing crank in right-side window

Quick Learner from GLen Ellyn Illnois
To whom it may concern,

I'm hoping I have found the right site to replace the window crank in my Shields windows. The right side window does not open anymore so I'm going to send pictures of the left working window to help you identify if you have the right crank replacement for the window.

Thank you,
Brian

Hello, Brian. It's tough to tell what you have while the arm is still connected, but the design reminds me of our 39-315 and 39-316. Look these over and tell me if they differ in any significant way. We carry a ton of different kinds so I'm confident we have what you need, I would just require clearer photos of the mechanism.

Thank you very much Tom! Since it's the right window the 39-315 part would be the option I presume. Does Swisco have a return policy if a order a couple of different cranks from you and can return the others that don't fit? I'm kinda afraid to open the window in case it wont close.

Is there any other part that it may be? or are you pretty confident that is the one? Would it be better if I tried to take exact measurements?

Thanks, Brian

Yes, we do accept returns. You can see our policy here for more information.

As for other possibilities, there are about a million and one to tell the truth. I do think the operators I mentioned are the strongest contenders by far. If you want a more confident recommendation, then the next step would be to remove the operator from the window and show me one clear picture of the entire mechanism without obstruction. Right now a couple details are hidden from view that would tell me for sure what you're working with.
