A handy person from 60013 says:
I have republic windows and a channel balance string broke and I need to replace it. The channel balance says 26D BSI op stamped on it. the shoe says 4610108. What do you have for a replacement?

Hello,

Your balance looks like a match to the S795-26 channel balance with a 26D strength option. Please note that our stock balance comes with a screw clip at the end of the pulley cord to attach to the window jamb.

If yours uses a screw clip as well, you'll be good to go. If it uses a hook like the 15-198, let us know and we can go from there. Thank you!

Do you have any videos or instructions on how to change the clip from screw to hook.

To attach the 15-198. you would gently pull the balance cord out and carefully place it under pressure in a vice (or use vice grips); be sure to wear safety glasses like our 75-078. Then, remove the old clip and replace it with a new one. You'll need to make sure that the clip is tied securely to prevent it from coming undone while installed.

Please note for future reference that we can also supply the S795 channel balances with the 15-198 attached through a custom order.
