Rotating Handle for Jeld Wen Window

Home Owner from Brampton, ON
I have Jeld Wen windows in the home (constructed in 2013). The rotating mechanism for opening and closing controlled by a lever (rotating handle) is not working. It opens but does not close properly. Can I buy this mechanism and replace it?

Hello! It sounds like you're referring to the operator. Based on your description of the problem, I would wager that the gears are stripped out. Replacing the entire mechanism will be necessary if that's right.

Before I recommend anything, though, I will need to see it. Let's start with photos of the operator removed from the window. That will ensure that no important details are obscured or missing and I will be able to narrow down the list of possible replacement options.

It is Casement Window Crank mechanism. Sash Opens outwards to the left. Window does not close properly. Sash window small arm has 33177B inscribed on it. Large arm is 13.5 inches.

Thanks! My top recommendation, looking at this photo, is our 39-014. I believe this is just the part you need to repair your window but look it over and see if you agree. We also sell the 39-013 for the opposite side, if you needed it.

I ordered this part along with handle 39-114L. I really appreciate you help.

Thanks very much,
